Goodbye, Sunday Scaries
Sundays are my day. I love Sundays.
You may have heard me say this before, but I’ll say it again: A Sunday well spent brings a week of content.
If you’re dreading Monday or feeling stressed out with everything on your to-do list, take a deep breath and keep reading.
Here’s my Sunday routine that sets me up for a week of success —
Make a simple list
Make a list — Sunday morning, I sit down and determine everything I can realistically get done that day. Emphasis on realistically — it’s important not to list every last thing you could possibly do so as not to get overwhelmed or feel defeated. Maybe it’s grocery shopping or finally making that phone call I’ve been putting off. I physically write everything down so that I can feel a sense of accomplishment as I see each tasked get crossed off.
Work it out // Plan it out
Odds are I didn’t workout on Saturday, so I make sure to get it done on Sunday. This also makes working out on Monday that much less daunting. On that note, I also take the time to look at my schedule for the week and plan my workouts. I’m less likely to cancel if I’ve set it in stone ahead of time. StudioHop is my saving grace here, I can try so many different classes and studios so I never get bored plus they charge a fee if you miss a class or cancel late — that’s the kind of accountability I need. They’re in a lot of different cities (Dallas, Austin, Tulsa, to name a few) and you can get up to 30% off your first month here.
This might just be my number one Sunday rule. If my physical space is a mess, my mental space will be a mess. Every sunday I clean, do laundry and get everything tidied up.
Find something to look forward to
Truth be told, it’s usually tomorrow’s breakfast or just coffee in the morning (the simple things), but I always find something to look forward to on Monday.
Whether it’s a face mask, a glass of wine, painting my nails, or an episode (or two) of my show — right now we’re glued to the TV rewatching Game of Thrones — I do something that is 100% for me.
Whatever lies ahead, you’ve got this! Set yourself up for success in the week ahead and approach every day with confidence and gratitude.
Here’s to a great week! xx
